Visit to "Lah", Hauz Khas Village,New Delhi.

Hauz Khas is always a happening place for Artisans and Foodie People... Its a fashion's paradise with lots of Fashion Designer Studios.. With every outlet you need a place to eat and chit -chat... Hauz Khas Village has lots of Cafes and Restaurants with good food and with lots of varieties in cuisines...

Yesterday (7th Jan) , we with some of our friends planned to check the food at "Lah", Hauz Khas Village.. Their main serving is based on Southasian Cuisine.. Lah is very easy to locate with  small sign boards on every few foot steps.. As we climbed up the stairs, we found beautifully decorated stairs and ended up to a not so big Cafe... Beautiful Ambiance with humble people on service...
While checking the walls , eyes just stopped on one signboard " We do not serve authentic food but we serve good food" , so there was not point to nag and look for a authentic Malay, Vietnamese or Chinese food... What we learned from the food that they just cook with recipes from famous chefs..
When we settled down on Table , we were served with a glass of water which was tasting like Lemon Grass.. Later got to know that they soak the lemon grass in the tumbler and serve Lemon Grass Water to the guests.. We found it very new and different idea.. Lemon Grass makes you calm and happy :

There were 2 Vegetarian friends with us so we ordered a mixed meal.
Mini Thai Rolls-180/-, Chicken Wings (as starters)220/-, Kung Po Chicken (Kylie Kwang's recipe)220/-, Buddist Bowl (Veg- served with vegetables and tofu served with Rice and Home slaw )220/-, Laksa (both veg and nonveg with chicken and prawns , served with Rice)300/- and 500/- Indonesian Curry with Rice240/-., Lamb on skewers250/-, Gooey Chocolate cake in Chocolate sauce200/- and Goring Pisang- Banana fritters in milky sauce (Desserts)180/-.
We ended up with Capuccino and Mint Lemonade..

Best dish was Lamb in skewer.. We found all the dishes based on Soya Sauce...
Over all it is a nice place to just stop by and eat. But one must not visit Lah if you are looking for authentic cuisine...
